Author Fair Coming Up!

Hey, everybody! This semester is coming to a close; only another month left to go until I graduate! I will be in Springfield at the UIS STARS Symposium Thursday and Friday making a poster presentation on a research paper abstract, and then I’m off to an author fair at the Savanna Museum and Cultural Center in Savanna, Illinois on April 16, 2016. Come out to support the museum and the local authors. There will be a presentation at 1:00 p.m. and then the book fair from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. I hope to see you there! Tribal King, book five of the Stolen Heritage series, is coming along nicely. I may be able to publish it sooner than I thought. I’m now thinking August for a release date.  This is the back cover blurb: ONLY ONE CAN BE TRIBAL KING “I don’t want to move!” Alekani glared at him. “You will go, Rolan.” Seeing he would not prevail, Rolan growled and jumped up. “Fine. You can make me go, but you can’t make me like it.” Rolan Rademar doesn’t want to be a prince; but after discovering his father Alec Rademar is really Alekani Ramida, Crown Prince of Caldasar, Rolan’s family emigrates to regain control of that country. Surrounded by new terrain, new expectations, and new rules to follow, Rolan feels completely overwhelmed. He’s not even sure he wants to be part of this new life, especially since his father isn’t the only one who wants the Tribal Throne, and their opponent will do anything to snatch the rightful rule of Caldasar from the Ramidas. And here is another poetry sample from my AST Creative Writing Project: Blue Blue—synonym for sadness, despair and depression. To me it means Peace— comfort to soothe my emotions. The sky and oceans surround—enwrap me Serenely. I want to grab them, submerge myself for Eternity. In blue I find joy, vibrancy, oneness— a Harmony— songs of sweetness That swell and cascade— a Symphony.
